Summer Day Camp at Lake Pleasant to earn some merit badges this summer

Image
The camp holds four sessions in June (6/4-7, 6/11-14, 6/18-21, 6/25-28).  Shuttle service from Desert Ridge is available. Lake Pleasant Camp is one of the only BSA camps in the nation to provide provisional, day camping for Boy Scout aged youth 11 - 17 years.  Provisional camping is a great option for a Scout to attend summer camp without having to come with his troop.  Since this is entirely a provisional camp, all of our participants come individually and the camp provides leadership for all Scouts in attendance. And since this is also a day camp, Scouts will work on merit badges and rank advancements throughout the day, then return each evening to their homes and families. Provisional, day camping can be a great chance for a Scout to experience a  week of camping…whether to finish merit badges or just enjoy the fun and adventure of the outdoor program.   Registration is open

Need to borrow camping equipment from the troop?

Troop Tents and Backpacks will have a Priority level:  1. First available: new Weblos each year 2. Second available: prior year Webelos  If you have been in the Troop 2+ years, you should have your own backpack and tent.  They make great birthday and Christmas presents. Also, if you have an old sleeping bag or equipment that your son has outgrown, selling it at a nice discount to new parents coming in would be an excellent idea.
