Summer Day Camp at Lake Pleasant to earn some merit badges this summer
The
camp holds four sessions in June (6/4-7, 6/11-14, 6/18-21, 6/25-28).
Shuttle service from Desert Ridge is available.
Lake Pleasant Camp is one of the
only BSA camps in the nation to provide provisional, day camping for Boy Scout
aged youth 11 - 17 years. Provisional camping is a great option for
a Scout to attend summer camp without having to come with his troop.
Since this is entirely a provisional camp, all of our participants come
individually and the camp provides leadership for all Scouts in
attendance. And since this is also a day camp, Scouts will work on merit badges
and rank advancements throughout the day, then return each evening to
their homes and families. Provisional, day camping can be a great chance for a
Scout to experience a week of camping…whether to finish merit badges or
just enjoy the fun and adventure of the outdoor program.
